Engr. Samaila Zanko Jatau is a highly experienced Nigerian aircraft maintenance engineer with over 20 years of professional practice across rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft operations. His career reflects deep expertise in aircraft maintenance, airworthiness management, and operational readiness within structured and regulated aviation environments.
He holds both a National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Aircraft Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna, one of Nigeria’s foremost aviation training institutions. Engr. Jatau is a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer under the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), with strong working knowledge of NCARs and international best practices.
His technical expertise spans scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, technical inspections, component replacement, fault diagnosis, maintenance planning, and aircraft technical recovery. He is type-rated on multiple helicopter and regional jet platforms, making him versatile across government, corporate, and commercial aviation operations.
Following his transition into civil aviation consultancy, Engr. Samaila Zanko Jatau continues to apply his extensive technical knowledge to aircraft acquisition support, recovery projects, and airworthiness oversight, particularly involving Leonardo and Bell helicopter platforms for institutional and corporate operations.
